Today's newsletter isn't about thoughts; I'm sorry ;(
I have this feeling where my heart flips a little bit when I hear my siblings' voices on a call. Maybe you've experienced this too, when you're at uni or away from home.
Well, this feeling I get when I hear their voices is amazing and I love it. Getting the latest family gossip and updates on events happening in the street. My siblings are the best sources of informations ever (lol).
But here's the thing about the youngest siblings: they rarely call to check up on the elder siblings. Maybe they want to, but it's never their priority. And I'm sure we all know what their priorities are-asking for money, items or things they need, which might be irrelevant. Coz tell me the reason why I met more than fifteen missed calls from my junior brother after he asked for data and I told him that I'd try to share mine. I was unable to share the data and I just ended up sleeping for two hours instead, only for me to wake up to missed calls from him.
God, I was glad my phone is always on silent coz I would have cursed someone's son for waking me up from my slumber. I decided not to return those calls.
The funniest part? He doesn't even have a phone of his own or SIM card! I was to send the data to my mum's phone for him to use. So he called me with my mum's phone thirteen times and even called me twice using my grandmother's phone when I was sleeping.
He also has this habit of setting numbers to private, so the call goes through even if the receiver has blocked the number or added the number to blacklist (which I usually do because of him). He called me twice using a private number.
All these fuss over of a gig data (lol). Later in the night, he called again and I picked. Then he started asking me why I didn't return any of his call, told him I was asleep then he went ahead and asked for the data again!
I told him I'd send the data if he stopped calling. I sent it to him, but he called again, saying he'd manage it. Bruh! Why not just throw it away instead of managing it?
The boy should thank his stars that he's my brother. If not, I would have... well, let's just say I'm glad we're not in the same physical space.
The point is, this online situation is far better than us being together. I miss him, truly, but this boy knows how well to irritate and frustrate me. That's our love-hate relationship.
Do you have a similar relationship with your siblings? If yes, please share your story in the comment section.
lol I'm starting this comment with so much laughter, cause my kid sister is such a pest, like you said these kids don't have priorities. It's just crazy, you might be having a shitty day and that one sibling would call to ask for moneyyyyyyy omoooo I go won crazy but it's well. I pay my sister to give me the family's gossip and dramas.
I can insult my brother, but nobody can insult him asides from me,i will fight you!😂
That’s our love hate relationship.
